Replacement of the 13th Street/Georgia Avenue bridge between Augusta and North Augusta has been put on hold for three years due both to funding and consideration of nearby construction. As of July 8, 2025 this project is in the conceptual phase as it is seeking funding. Originally scheduled to start this year, the bridge replacement now has been pushed to 2028 due to a 15% hike in construction costs.
