Renovation of a library in Augusta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The scope of work is listed as the following A new addition to the east side of the existing structure to accommodate a 3 stop elevator, with three landings. Modifications to existing toilets on the first and second floor to accommodate handicapped accessibility. New interior finishes throughout New interior lighting at the basement level. Refreshed exterior finishes to include necessary repairs, and painting of all wood siding, windows, soffit, fascia, and trim. Refer to attached resources for project specifications. All questions must be submitted in writing by fax to 706 821-2811 or by email to procbidandcontract@augustaga.gov to the office of the Procurement Department by Wednesday, August 27, 2025 @ 5:00 P.M. No bid will be accepted by fax or email, all must be received by mail or hand delivered. Construction Services for Appleby Branch Library - Renovation Project for Augusta, GA - Central Services Department. Appleby Branch is not in ADA compliance and needs to be renovated so that citizens and visitors with disabilities can enter the building and use its services. Renovations should include an elevator, ADA compliant restrooms, and other obstacles for patrons with disabilities. Appleby also needs renovations in order to attract visitors and provide improved services (i.e., replacing worn carpet, improving flow throughout the building, providing space for more computer access, updating the children's area, etc.).
