Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Without force and effect on requirements of the contract documents, the descriptive of the work of the Contract can be summarized as follows 1. Project Drawings TS-1, RC-1, RC-2, RC-3, RC-4, and RC-5 are for contractor reference only. Contractor shall visit the site, analyze and measure specific work items and otherwise be knowledgeable of the roofing work required. 2. It is mandatory that the work be done in a manner that no weather element (rain, wind, dirt, snow, etc.) penetrates through the roof assembly into the enclosed building space. Special care is to be taken to limit the work of a day so that such weather protection occurs. A watertight tie on is required at the end of each workday. a. At the end of each workday or when precipitation is threatening the newly installed roof system. Utilize mastic as necessary to furnish a complete watertight night seal. It is mandatory that the watertight night seal is installed to the original BUR and existing modified bitumen roof systems. 3. All staging, scaffolding and erection necessary to complete specified Roof Replacement work. Contractor shall properly barricade staging work areas with temporary fencing and shall protect building materials from damage at all times. Dumpsters, bathroom facilities, and ground material storage shall be located within the construction staging area. Summit Educational Service Center Roof Replacement Project (Roof Sections C & D) Questions concerning this project may be addressed to Taylor Consulting Group, Greg Taylor, (440-840-9019) or gtaylor@tcgroupdesign.com. Bids must contain the name of every person interested therein and must be accompanied by a (I) bid bond in the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates), or (II) certified check, cashier's check, money order, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bid Bonds and other acceptable submissions guarantee that if awarded the contract by the Governing Board of Summit Educational Service Center, the successful bidder will enter into a proper contract with Summit Educational Service Center and will furnish a performance bond for the contract prior to starting the work. All such bonds, certified checks, cashier's checks, money orders, and letters of credit shall be drawn on a solvent financial institution doing business in the state of Ohio and shall be payable to Summit Educational Service Center. Any proposed Equal or Substitute for a Standard specified in the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Taylor Consulting Group, LLC prior to the bid opening. If the proposal is acceptable, an Addendum will be issued to all Bidders prior to the bid opening.
