The Pinellas County School District (District) is soliciting sealed electronic bids in response to Roof Replacement and Designated Repairs. Without exception, responses will not be accepted after the submission deadline regardless of any technical difficulties such as poor internet connections. The Pinellas County School District Purchasing Department strongly recommends completing your response well ahead of the deadline. If you obtain our solicitation documents from any other source, we cannot guarantee that you will automatically receive subsequent notifications of addendums. To assure that you are automatically notified, you must visit the above website and download the bid document. The District will not be responsible if you fail to receive any and all addendums if you obtain the original bid document from another source. The district will give consideration to prices established by the State of Florida Department of Management Services, Division of Purchasing through its contracts and negotiated agreement price schedules. Submit Recommendation for Award to School Board for Approval (estimated date of School Board approval):May 13, 2025 This project consists of a roof replacement for buildings 5 and 6: Remove the existing metal panel roof system down to the existing sloped metal roof deck. Remove existing sub-framing and insulation over existing roof deck. Fasten a base layer of 1 1/2 " thick non tapered rigid insulation and 5/8" thick plywood sheathing for new metal roof panel attachment. Prime new sheathing as needed and apply self adhered underlayment. Install new aluminum metal panel roof system. The contractor shall be a Florida licensed Roofing Contractor. This bid will adhere to a ninety-day contract period. For the purposes of calculating the amount of a protest bond, this contract is valued at approximately 500,000.00, excluding renewal options. This is only an estimate and the actual amount could vary up or down. The District will not be held responsible if actual purchases are less than this amount. All materials and/or equipment purchased from this bid shall carry the manufacturers' standard warranty, unless otherwise specified. All work performed by the Prime Contractor and/or Sub-Contractors shall be warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of not less than one (1) year from the date of final completion of the project including of all punch list items. Bid and Performance Security are required with this bid. The Scope of Work to be performed under this project consists of furnishing of all labor/ materials and performing all work necessary to the completion of the following: a. Buildings 5 and 6: i. Roof Replacement: Remove the existing metal panel roof system down to the existing sloped metal roof deck. Remove existing sub-framing and insulation over exsting roof deck. Fasten a base layer of 1 1/2 " thick nontapered rigid insulation and 5/8" thick plywood sheathing for new metal roof panel attachment. Prime new sheathing as needed and apply selfadhered underlayment. Install new aluminum metal panel roof system. ii. Other: 1. Remove and replace damaged roofing substrate utilizing unit cost allowances. 2. Replace existing gutters and downspouts as shown in the plans and details provided. 3. Inspect and clean out all storm drain piping from downspout connections to its respective outlet
