The City of Greenacres, Florida is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified companies for the rehabilitation of the Municipal Complex pathway located at 5800 Melaleuca Lane, Greenacres, FL 33463. This project shall include furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, and machinery necessary to perform all operations required for completion of the work as specified conducive with a safe, neat, and clean environment. Bidder shall visit site to verify dimensions and inspect current conditions to determine the extent and nature of work required for the rehabilitation of the municipal complex pathway. Project shall include the following tasks Removal of approximately 900 square feet (180' linear x 5' wide) existing asphalt and shell rock base. Haul away and dispose of all vegetative debris, roots, concrete or other unsuitable material legally off-site. Apply, layer, compact and fine grade shell rock base; 6" - 8" as needed for proper leveling and compaction. Apply two 1-inch lifts of FDOT Type SP 9.5 FDOT hot mix asphalt; roll to compact. Smooth down edges of reconstructed path to create natural slope and eliminate any potential trip hazard. Selective clearing and grubbing: The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all vegetation, obstructions, etc., as provided above except that, where so elected, the Contractor may cut roots, etc., flush with the ground surface and not to a depth 12" below the ground surface. Perform selective clearing and grubbing only in areas so designated in the plans and with hand-held equipment or machinery that will not damage the adjacent trees and landscape materials. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein.
