The work area is on Union Street between 3rd Street and 4th Street. The work is generally described as: Project includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct 1,802 SY PCC pavement, 233 SY driveway pavement, 482 SY PCC sidewalk pavement, 3,031 SY pavement removal, excavation, storm sewer pipe, storm sewer inlets, traffic control, mobilization, and miscellaneous work, including cleanup. ***Contractors must contact the Engineer directly for the bid documents*** If you have any questions call (712) 943-5055 or email nwiowa@v-k.net. The Work shall be completed by September 15, 2025. If the Contractor neglects, fails, or refuses to complete the Work within the Contract Time or an extension as determined by the Engineer, the Contractor shall pay the Owner the sum of six hundred ($600.00), not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages for such breach of Contract, for each and every working day that the Contractor defaults after the time stipulated for completing the Work. Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Security of not less than 5% of the bid amount. Bid Security shall be made payable to the City of Ponca. The Bidder, upon award of Contract by the City of Ponca, will enter into a Contract at the prices bid and furnish the required Certificate of Insurance within ten (10) days after acceptance of this Bid by City Council. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Owner and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
