Renovation of a pipeline in Ponca, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pipeline.
The work is generally described as follows: 1. Supply up to 335 gas meters and meter bars of various sizes. 2. Supply an equivalent number of meter encoders and end-points. 3. The supply and integration of a head-end system. 4. Inclusion of a web-based customer portal for gas-user interaction. 5. Monthly service for each gas meter. 6. Labor, gaskets, hardware, and any other supplies necessary to install each meter in its previous set location. All proposals for said construction must be made on blanks furnished by the Engineer and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the amount of the bid. Bid Security may be payable to the City of Ponca as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly identified. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Owner, and also reserves the right to reject any/or all bids. In order to be eligible to submit a bid, the prospective bidder must register and receive the bidding documents directly from the Engineer
