The Contractor shall provide all the required labor, material and equipment for the Asbestos Abatement work and removal of asbestos containing materials(ACM) specified herein. The work shall include but not be limited to the following ACM PIPE WRAP The work consists of the removal of all asbestos containing material (ACM) pipe wrap and mud joints at the locations noted on the contract drawings. The Contractor is required to inspect, and field measure all existing ACM to become familiar with the scope of work and to adequately submit their bid. Reinsulation of all abated piping and joints shall be part of this project see below; a. Reinsulation Work shall be part of this scope of work as follows 1. The work of this contract also involves the insulation of all building heating and piping both associated with heating and domestic hot water include all valves, fittings, etc., in the defined work areas. All the existing insulation in the work area shall be removed under the terms of this contract whether specifically indicated on the drawings or not. Drawings give general location of major piping. The Contractor is required to field measure all existing ACBM to adequately submit a bid. The installation of new insulation on all piping is a part of this contract whether they had existing ACBM on them initially or not. 2. All insulation shall be in accordance with the following schedule and shall be as manufactured by Johns 'Manville, Gustin-Bacon or OwensCorning. Installation shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's methods and recommendations. When work is being performed within boiler rooms, the ACBM insulation work covers all existing piping, breeching and tank covering in the existing boiler rooms and adjacent spaces. Installation shall be in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
