Renovation of a fire / police facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The project is located at City of Milwaukee Safety Academy and the project is the upper roof section. The project consists 4 roof sections and work includes the removal of the ballasted EPDM/Adhered EPDM roof systems down to the structural decking. Repair and replace existing decking as needed. The contractor will install a new Adhered EPDM roof system with minor alterations, details to include new metal edge details, new expansion joint caps, and a new perimeter guardrail system. A new manufacturer warranty and installer warranty is required by the owner. All questions should be submitted in writing prior to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 to pbusat@milwaukee.gov. No questions may be answered after that date and time. No questions shall be answered verbally. No verbal information from any source is to be relied upon by any respondent in the development of their Bid. Written questions and responses will be documented by way of addenda, which will be forwarded to all bidders. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. The contractor must recognize and abide by the right of the Owner (City of Milwaukee) to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interests of the City. Alternate No. 1: Remove and replace Roof Areas 1,2,3. Install new insulated EPDM membrane system. Provide 20 yr Mnf. Warranty. Alternate No. 2: Remove and replace Roof Area 4. Install new insulated EPDM membrane system. Provide 20 yr Mnf. Warranty. Time for completion: 60 Working Days Liquidated Damages: $1000.00 per diem The SBE requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid.
