Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Long Branch, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project proposes improvements to Manahassett Creek and Pleasure Bay Park, approximately 6,100 total square yards of improvements. The scope of work includes, reconstruction of the existing tennis court at Manahassett Creek Park, construction of ADA exercise stations at Manahassett Creek Park, and milling/overlay of the existing basketball courts at Manahassett Creek Park and Pleasure Bay Park. Major bid items include 2,050 square yards of HMA Milling, 2" or Less, 325cubic yards of DGA Base Course, 4" Thick, 505 tons square of Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64, Base Pavement Repair, 245 tons of HMA 9.5M64 Surface Course, 2" Thick, 1130 linear feet of 10' High Vinyl Coated Chain Link Fence, Basketball/Tennis Court Striping, and 4 UN of ADA Exercise Stations (including 10' x 10' concrete pad). Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cash of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid payable without any conditional enorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the bid security as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cash. A bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid may be substituted for certified check or cash, except the amount of the bid security shall not be less than $500.00 - nor more than $20,000.00. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The City reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the City of Long Branch, New Jersey for all proceedings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The City Council of the City of Long Branch reserves the right to reject any or all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the City to do so.
