The project involves, but is not limited to: drainage improvements, road milling and delivery / placement of Superpave Warm Mix Asphalt Wearing Course, 9.5 mm mix, 2-inch compacted depth (full width - estimated at 4,900 square yards), including 4" depth base repair, leveling course, and speed humps. Broad Street from Bridge Street to Old Lincoln Highway. Goshorn Drive from West King Street to Cul-De-Sac. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: E. Broad Street - Full road width. Approximate length = 1,211'. Approximate road width = Varies (22'-30'). Approximate total area = 3,785 square yards. Base Repair estimate = 395 square yards. Goshorn Drive - Full road width. Approximate length = 232'. Approximate road width = 27'. Approximate total area = 1,115 square yards. Base Repair estimate = 303 square yards. • Provide all necessary traffic controls for complete project. Contractor shall place a sign at each end of the project site detailing the start & end dates a minimum of 7 days prior to the start of work. • Install drainage improvements such as inlets and pipe in accordance with the E. Broad Street Drainage Improvement Plan, and with all applicable PennDOT standards. • Saw cut / mill pavement joints (all locations including driveways if applicable). • Mill road full width 2-inches - minimum depth. Mill additional depth, if necessary. (See following pages) • Contractor shall adjust all manholes if necessary with adjustment rings provided by the Borough. • Complete 4" base repair as directed by the Borough representative. (See procedure on the following pages). PennDOT minimum compacted depth for 25 mm base course is 3". • Sweep and Tack Coat roadway surface prior to paving (incidental to paving). • Deliver and place Leveling Course as directed by the Township representative. • Install speed humps as specified. • Deliver and place 2 inches compacted depth of Wearing Course. •Sealing of all joints, edges and utilities is incidental to paving.
