The Harrisburg Park Splash Pad has been meeting expectations for fun and reliability with the exception of two above ground features. The tilting water bucket is the most popular feature, but the plastic bucket leaks continuously. We would like to maintain this tilting water bucket feature but with a more reliable bucket. The spinning wheel has proven very unreliable. The county desires something different. The intent of the County is to execute a contract with the successful firm with experience in projects for governmental entities to provide design services and construction of the Splash Pad. Local funds shall be used for the construction of the Splash Pad. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or informalities and to accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the County The Splash Pad will be constructed just inside the park's entrance. See Exhibit A. County water supply and electrical service will be available to the vault. The splash pad will be an unmanned facility and should be a zero-water depth facility with a centrally located touch activation device. See Exhibit B. The successful Respondent (Contractor) shall be required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to accomplish the design/build of a splash pad to include the following: o Installation of the custom Splash Pad based on the Harrisburg Park Splash Pad in Baldwin County o 4 above-ground features (County wishes a different above ground feature than the spinning wheel which has proven unreliable; the water bucket feature is popular but the plastic water bucket leaks) o 5 Ground Sprays o 2 drains o 1880 square-foot brushed-concrete pad o Forming Splash Pad area to set proper elevations from perimeter to drains. o Plumbing lines to all features. o Drain line to a distance of 20' from the pad. o Installation of the controller and manifold needed to operate the pad.
