Reference Number 0000380096 installation of an insertion valve *The Town of North Kingstown reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof; to waive any formality in same, or accept any proposal deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The North Kingstown Water Department needs to install an insertion valve on Post Road near the fire hydrant bordering Richard Smith Drive. This valve will be important in improving the closing off of areas for potential water main repairs. Specifications are as follows: Specifications & Features Furnish and install a 12-inch insertion valve on 12-inch AC Water Main to also include: - Crew for excavation and backfill - Installation technician, tool truck, and Hydra Stop equipment/materials - Test Pits to obtain OD on existing 12-inch water main to confirm size of insertion valve sleeve - Pour concrete cradle under pipe and around sleeve for support - Temporary hot mix asphalt as needed - Road Plate/Pins to secure plate overnight - Full-depth hot mix asphalt patch right away after insertion valve is installed and backfilled - Traffic setup - Applying for and obtain RIDOT Utility Permit
