The goals and objectives for this project is the install of a solar PV systems on the roof of this new building to reduce Rekai's operating costs while increasing the use of renewable energy. The new Rekai Cherry Place – Campus of Care will serve as a 300,000+ sq ft community hub for seniors, offering 348 Long-Term Care Beds. This 13-story facility will be located at 55 Eastern Ave, Toronto, ON M5A 1H5, Canada. The selected bidder will be responsible for all the activities related to the design, build, permitting and installation of solar panels: Designing and reviewing all relevant project documentation including available technical drawings Site survey to confirm site conditions including existing electrical infrastructure Performing all professional services (e.g, shop drawings) as necessary for the design, permitting and construction of the solar PV system with all engineering Manage all applicable approvals, permits and inspections required to complete the work Provide all materials, equipment, labour and necessary construction services (e.g., install of electrical infrastructure upgrades or roof structural enhancements if applicable, install of the solar PV system, install of solar monitoring equipment) to install a complete turnkey system that will be operational and compliant with all applicable standards, building code requirements, LDC requirements and other applicable codes and industry standards. Complete all inspection and testing requirements and full system commissioning Provide remote monitoring and control hardware and any other required communication infrastructure Training facility employees for all routine operation, maintenance and safety aspects Submitting all relevant project documentation including but not limited to as-builts operation and maintenance manual, and warranties, including registration. Construction Start Spring 2025; Construction Sub-completion Dec 2027.
