San Juan County is requesting bids for the production of approximately 40,000-50,000 tons of Type II Base Course produced at one of the following County owned pits: Pit 41, located 2 miles north of Hwy 64 off CR 5290, and Pit 29B, located 4 miles south of Aztec off Hwy 516 in Flora Vista. Other locations may be utilized upon mutual agreement of both parties. Contractors interested in performing this work may examine the pits prior to bidding. Alternate Bid: SJC is requesting bids for the production of approximately 10,000 tons of Type II base course produced and stockpiled at the Contractors private pit located in the general vicinity of Flora Vista, NM. San Juan County will haul from the Contractor's pit on an as needed basis. The contractor shall provide loading and certified scales. Payment will be based on the scale tickets. The primary term of the proposed contract shall be one year from the date of award. The agreement may upon mutual agreement of the parties, be renewed for up to three (3) additional one-year terms. The primary term and all one-year renewal options shall not exceed four years (Section 13-1-150 NMSA). The contract may also be renewed for a period less than one full year. The quantities listed are ESTIMATED. San Juan County reserves the right to purchase more or less than the estimated quantities, at the bid price, on an as needed when needed basis. The County reserves the right to cancel this INVITATION TO BID at any time, and to reject any or all bids, or otherwise to proceed in the best interests of the County. This in no manner obligates the County or any of its agencies to the eventual purchase of any product or service, whether explicitly described or implied herein, until confirmed by a written contract and/or Purchase Order.
