Magnitude of Construction: Disclosure of the magnitude of construction, as prescribed in FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, is between $1M and $5M. Project is a FSRM project and will primarily be funded with Air Force Operation & Maintenance (O&M) dollars. Project Location and Description: Minot AFB, ND This upcoming solicitation will be executed using a design-build (DBB) project delivery method, which will require the contractor to provide the Government with a complete facility and warranty based on the Request for Proposal (RFP). Requirement includes work components at the Missile Handling Team (MHT) Complex on Minot Air Force Base (MAFB), North Dakota (ND): Project will construct a new approximately 2,600 SF pre-engineered metal building that will serve as a heated vehicle storage facility. Structure will consist of strip footings, factory finished and insulated metal wall panels, and standing metal seam roof. Installation of electrical, communication, gas, water, and sewer utility connections, along with NIPR and SIPR communications systems may be required. Associated site features and paving will also be required. Facility will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements and UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. Each facility must be compatible with applicable DoD, Air Force, aircraft, and base design standards. In addition, sustainable and maintainable construction materials and techniques shall be used where cost effective and/or where specified. This project will comply with Department of Defense Antiterrorism/Force Protection requirements per Unified Facilities Criteria 4-010-01 (as applicable). Special construction and functional requirements: Facility will require the establishment of a freezone through the use of temporary fencing to separate this project's site with the wider MHT Complex. Project Period of Performance: Approximately 390 calendar days from construction NTP but may vary depending on individual component of work.
