Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Floodwood, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Major components of the Work include: Removal of the existing pump station wet and dry well structures. Installation of a new submersible lift station with wet well and valve vault. Connection to the existing forcemain and gravity line from the newly constructed lift station. Salvage available equipment and building. Coat structures against corrosive gases. Structural sheeting, shoring, & dewatering required for the deep excavation next to the river. Continuous sewage temporary wastewater conveyance during construction. Electrical work. SWPPP implementation. Surface restorations. Minimum Contractor Qualifications for General Contractors: The Bidder, as a company, shall have experience as a general contractor in the successful construction of at least two municipal wastewater lift stations within 5 years prior to the bid opening date. At least one of these projects shall have a minimum construction contract amount of $500,000. Submitted bids that do not meet the above minimum contractor qualifications will be cause for rejection. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Floodwood reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City.
