Bidders desiring further information or further interpretation of any part of the Contract Documents are hereby obligated to submit a written request, online Major items ofwork include: 8" PVC Water Line, by Trenchless and Open Cut Method; 8" PVC Encased Water Line with 14" Steel Casing; 8" PVC Sanitary Sewer Force Main; 8" Steel Water Line and 8" Steel Sanitary Sewer Force Main with Straps Connecting to Bridge; and Bridge Structure including Drill Shaft, Cap, Column, Beam, Rip Rap and all appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5% ofthe bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Hitchcock or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu ofthe Bid Bond. City of Hitchcock reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid. Bids may be held by City of Hitchcock for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
