This project will consist of the removal of the existing streambed material within the existing corrugated metal pipe arch, installation of galvanized steel angle anchors which will be fastened to the invert of the culvert, and installation of a 4" concrete invert with 6" tall x 12' long x 4" wide concrete baffles. Work also includes the installation of stream restorations which are comprised of raising the existing heavy stone fill at the inlet and placing No. 3 stone underneath to accommodate for the 4" culvert invert increase. Extension of the concrete invert beyond the outlet (as shown on the construction plans) will be required. Cattaraugus County Local Law 1-2025 requires that the County provide a copy of the Cattaraugus County Vendor Responsibility Form to the low bidder. The low bidder will have 5 business days to return the completed form unless the form was mailed by the county to the vendor, in which case they will have 10 business days from the date of the mailing to return the form. Failure by the low bidder to submit the form within the above time frame will lead to the automatic rejection of their bid. The contractor must also ensure that all subcontractors who contract to work on the Project for consideration in the amount of $35,000 or greater, complete this form and submit it to the County for approval within 5 days of the preconstruction meeting. The contractor must also submit, in writing, a request for waiver ii for any subcontractors whose contract is for less than $35,000. Failure to do so may lead to the rejection of the subcontractor at the County's discretion. All substitutions are to be submitted at time of bid as per the contract documents. No substitutions will be considered after the bid date. Any bid submitted without such certification and bid bond will not be accepted. Any bid not meeting ALL specifications will not be considered. Cattaraugus County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid.
