The Project Work shall, in general, include the following described construction The dredging, transport, and placement of approximately 2.18 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas. Sand will be placed along five discrete shoreline reaches totaling about 48,700 feet in alongshore length. The shoreline reaches are located along the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shorelines of Hilton Head Island, SC. All associated items including permit compliance; environmental protection; surveys; safety and security measures; tilling and final grading; and property restoration. Deadline For Questions 5:00 pm Eastern Time on April 8, 2025 The Town of Hilton Head Island is soliciting sealed bids from qualified dredging contractors for the construction of a beach restoration project. QA - 4/19/25 The Town of Hilton Head Island is currently, and plans to continue, managing public communications for the Beach Renourishment Project internally.
