Site work and new construction of a library in Athens, Georgia. Design plans call for the construction of a library.
The scope of work includes the design and construction of a $16 million full-service public library on Barnett Shoals Road, featuring community meeting spaces, technology areas, children’s and teen zones, and supporting infrastructure for Athens-Clarke County. As of July 15, 2025, this project is in the design phase, and an architect has been named. A general contractor has not yet been announced, and bidding is expected fall 2025. The timeline for construction to start has not been determined, but construction is expected to be completed at the end of 2026.
