City-wide painting of approximately 2,005 hydrants, including the cleaning of hydrants prior to the painting process. Questions Due Date: Mar 25th 2025, 11:00 AM EDT Pre-Proposal Meetings TBD Contract Award (estimated) April 14 City of Akron Local Goal: 18% EDGE/DBE/MBE/WBE/SBE/VBE (minimum 3% WBE). Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposed Contract Sum (as defined in the Agreement) on a solvent bank or a bid bond in like amount, acceptable to City, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, the Agreement will be entered into. A scan of the certified check or bid bond must be submitted through the Bonfire website at time of Proposal submission. An original of the certified check or bid bond must be submitted from the apparent low bidder upon notification from the City within 48 hours. Original certified check or bid bond shall be delivered to City of Akron Engineering, 166 South High Street, Room 701, Akron, Ohio 44308. The Director of Public Service reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities.
