Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Walpole, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The scope of work includes construction of a modern precast concrete structure with a 10-foot wide and 5-foot-high opening with headwalls. The proposed work will be performed by isolating the work zone with a cofferdam on the upstream and downstream ends of the culvert, with bypass piping to allow streamflow to pass through. The work zone will be dewatered with a pump and all dewatering effluent will be discharged to a sediment basin to remove sediment before water is discharged back to the stream. The existing roadway will be excavated, and the old culvert will be removed. The new culvert will be put in place and backfilled, and the roadway paving and utilities reinstalled. 2025-11 Pine Street Culvert.
