The Work consists of approximately 160,000 Square Yards of Removing Asphaltic Surface Milling, 145,000 Square Yards of Pulverize, Inject, & Relay Existing Pavement, 35,000 Tons of HMA Pavement, and 2,200 Feet of Concrete Curb & Gutter and all appurtenant items. Bids will be received on a unit price basis. A bid bond in the form of a Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount made payable to Do dge County as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within ten (10) days of the award of Contract must be submitted with the bid. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the Contract, the Cashier's Check or Certified Check will be cashed and deposited to Do dge County as liquidated damages. The Cashier's check or Certified Check will be returned after the project is awarded. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Bidders shall prequalify with the County on forms in the Bidding Documents not less than five (5) days before the opening of bids. The Do dge County Highway Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid considered most advantageous to the Do dge County Highway Department. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for sixty (60) days after the time set for opening bids.
