Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Freeport, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

A. The purpose of the project is to address drainage issues in the basement of Freeport Senior High School. B. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contracts associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. C. In the event that any of the provisions in the technical specifications conflicts with the general conditions, the provision more favorable to the owner, as determined by the owner in its sole discretion, shall govern. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Removal of existing soil and sump pits 2. New concrete slab and helical piles 3. New stone and new understone drainage systems, sump pits, pumps, and related electrical work 4. Temporary basement access modifications 5. Project closeout submittals. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the FREEPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening.
