Reference Number 0000289571 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/04/07 03:00:00 PM EDT Pricing Lump sum The City of Iqaluit is inviting bids for construction services to facilitate the removal of various hazardous waste materials from multiple locations across Iqaluit. The purpose and objective of this project is to remove various hazardous waste materials from the West 40 Landfill as well as any other areas as requested by the City. Once the contractor has removed the materials, they will then prepare the materials for sealift and ship them to the south for final proper disposal. The contractor will also be required to supply storage equipment/materials for the City's use. The details of the scope of work are described in detail in Part V Terms of Reference. It should be noted that in previous years the project was structured such that the Contractor became the owner of storage items that contained waste. As part of this contract, for each storage item containing waste that is removed by the contractor, the contractor shall supply equivalent storage item to the City at the time of removal. The City shall become the new equivalent storage item supplied. Any storage items containing hazardous waste removed by the contractor and any storage items supplied by the contractor shall be inspected by a City representative to determine if the state of the storage items is acceptable to carry out the work. The Consultants Liability to the City of Iqaluit for Claims Arising Out of This Agreement, or in Any Way Relating to the Work Services, Will Be Limited to Direct Damages and to the Re-performance, Without Additional Compensation, of Any Services Not Meeting a Normal Professional Standard of Care and Such Liability Will, in the Aggregate, Not Exceed the Amount of $1,000,000.00. The Limitations of Liability Will Apply, to the Extent Permitted by Law, Whether Consultant's Liability Arises Under Breach of Contract or Warranty; Tort, Including Negligence; Strict Liability; Statutory Liability; or Any Other Cause of Action, and Will Extend to and Include Consultant's Directors, Officers, Employees, Insurers, Agents and Sub-consultants.
