This project shall include eleven (11) locations (nine (9) gardens and two (2) parks). Bidders will need to test, fix, and maintain existing irrigation systems in all locations. In the nine (9) gardens the Bidder shall advise on what is best to plants/flowers, keeping cost, longevity, and beautification in mind. In addition to planting, the Bidder will need to provide regular care and maintenance of the gardens. Maintenance should include but is not limited to weed control, fertilizer, and cleanup at the end of the season. The Contractor shall commence work within thirty days (30) days after the date of written notice from the Village Clerk to begin work and shall complete all work no later than May 23, 2025. The successful Bidder and all Subcontractors are required to have a valid business license on file with the Village to work within the Village limits. Each Contactor is responsible for the $20.00 license fee per business. They must also submit copies and continue to carry workmen's compensation insurance, public and private liability and property damage insurance and builders risk insurance in the specified amounts for the duration of the contract. The Village reserves the right to require the successful Bidder to file proof of his ability to properly execute the project together with his record of successful completion of similar projects. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids or proposals submitted, or to advertise for new bids. The Village reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any proposal and the execution of a contract for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days after the date of opening of the bids. The successful Bidder to whom the Contract has been awarded shall sign and return the Contract and other required certificates and documents in triplicate within ten (10) days after the date of receipt of the award of the contract.
