Site work for a water / sewer project in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of a connection to an existing 12-inch PVC water line and extension of 1,000 feet of 12-inch PVC water line and appurtenances along SR 601 to a connection point with an existing 10-inch PVC water main. Additional components of the project include installation of a pressure reducing station and a steel encased road crossing of SR 601, bore method. A. Transmit material submittals and work schedules to ENGINEER for review. B. Install E&S and Traffic Controls as required. C. Construct waterline, pressure reducing vault (PRV) and appurtenances in accordance with the Contract Documents and Permits. D. PRV start up, disinfect, test waterlines and appurtenances. E. Complete backfill and restoration to all disturbed areas to original or improved condition. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Somerset Township Municipal Authority, or negotiable U.S. Government Bond (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
