Renovation of a water / sewer project in High Point, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Frank L. Ward Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Filter Rehabilitation Project involves a comprehensive overhaul of Filter Nos. 1-4, including the replacement of underdrain systems, valves, and actuators. The project encompasses the demolition of existing filter components, installation of new underdrain systems with air scour piping, and upgrades to valves and actuators in the piping gallery and transfer pump room. Additional improvements include new turbidity sensors and controllers for Filter Nos. 1-8, differential pressure transmitters, water level sensors, and a bubbler system for Filter Nos. 1-4. The project also features the replacement of the backwash water supply line's venturi flow meter with a ball valve and magnetic flow meter, surface preparation and painting of piping and valves, lighting and electrical enhancements in the pipe gallery, and the replacement of the concrete walkway between the two filter buildings. Question Deadline 04/24/2025 at 12:00 PM ET Questions concerning this bid are due in writing via email to the attention of Greg Parret No proposal shall be considered or accepted by the City Council unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit with the City of High Point of a certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. In lieu of making the deposit as above provided, such bidder may file a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds; conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the City of High Point upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within ten (10) days after award or fails to give satisfactory surety as required herein. A separate performance and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required after bid award. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, as may in the judgment of the City, serve its best interest and the City further reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted. In accordance with the Federal "Americans with Disabilities Act" (the Act), the City of High Point will not discriminate against individuals, and will not do business with vendors who discriminate against such individuals in violation of the Act.
