SCOPE OF WORK : Zeolite resin replacement in four water softeners a total of 13 Ton of Zeolite resin the location is Harbor UCLA Medical Center central plant. 1000 West Carson Street Torrance CA.90509 Vendor must isolate one water softener at the time to perform this job to ensure the facility can maintain normal operation in the power plant providing normal water delivery to main hospital, surgery emergency building, central area, kitchen, and steam plant. The contractor will be responsible to provide new zeolite resin for all water softeners and proper disposal of old zeolite resin, (13 Ton Wet ) and one new gaskets for each the softeners. Vendor must provide his crew a forklift to lift anything heavy, the cost of this equipment must be part of the quote and not any additional cost to Harbor UCLA. The forklift and tools could be placed in our emergency generator storage area for safe storage overnight during this project, The contractor will be responsible to schedule the staff needed to complete this job on a maximum time frame of five days from Monday to Friday, so job can be performed safely. After completing this work all water softeners should be tested to ensure new solution or zeolite resin is working properly and all water softeners produce good quality soft water. When scope of work is completed, the vendor will inform Chief engineer or Assistant chief engineer. Vendor will provide results of water testing. The contractor will be responsible to clean all work area and properly dispose of any material left over for this project including the old Zeolite.
