City/County : Lake Description: Upgrade traffic signal video system at various location in the PASSAGE network. To bid on this project, contractors shall be required to provide a valid IDOT Certificate of Eligibility and obtain an approved LCDOT Authorization to Bid. ILDOT: Upgrade Traffic Signal Video System at Various Location Proposed Improvement This project is located at various intersections throughout Lake County. These locations include the intersection of Gages Lake Road (County Route A23) and Almond Road (County Route W12) in Warren Township, the intersection of Butterfield Rd (County Route W11) and Hawthorn Road in the Village of Mundelein, and the intersection of Kelsey Road (County Route V49) and River Road (County Route V50) in the Village of Lake Barrington. Also included within this project are the intersections of Aptakisic Road (County Route A44) with Prairie Road (County Route W17), Weiland Road (County Route W17), Bond Street, Leider Lane I Schelter Road, Barclay Boulevard, and Parkway Drive within the Villages of Buffalo Grove and Lincolnshire. Finally, the intersection of Weiland Road (County Route W17) and Deerfield Parkway (County Route A47) in the Village of Buffalo Grove, and the intersection of Lewis Avenue (County Route W34) and 21st Street (County Route A6) in the City of Zion. This project consists of the removal and disposal of existing Radar or Video Vehicle Detection Systems from the traffic signals located at the various intersections listed above, including removal of all related electrical cable from existing conduits. The removed Vehicle Detection Systems will be replaced with new Video Detection Systems at each intersection. Any Traffic Control and Maintenance of Existing Traffic Signals required to complete this work is also included within the project.
