Site work for a mixed-use development in Delta, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to create a shortlist of general contractors that are qualified to deliver apron rehabilitation and guidance marking services. The Engineering/Construction company will have an engineer on staff - or as a sub-consultant - who will function as an airport engineer. The contractor will be responsible to Alpha Aviation for project management, construction supervision and wrap up of specific projects identified. This project will rehabilitate areas on Apron 1, 2 and 3 at CZBB that have recently experienced cracking and spalling as well as update the guidance and safety markings for each of the apron areas. The Contractor is to remove identified damaged concrete panels, excavate and repair any soft areas and replace with new concrete panels as well as complete mastic crack repair on remaining panels. The updated paint marking configurations define flight school and itinerant aircraft movement and parking areas and ensure improved safety for larger mid-sized aircraft and jet traffic.
