Renovation of a municipal facility in Saint George, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond acceptable to the County. Bid bonds must be issued by a corporate surety registered and authorized to do business in the State of South Carolina. Bid bonds shall be payable to the County, shall be for at least five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid and shall serve as a guarantee deposit that the bid will be carried out to the complete satisfaction of the County. The successful Bidder shall provide performance and payment bonds, in a form satisfactory to the County, in the following amounts: Payment Bond: 100% of the total amount of the Contract. Performance Bond: 100% of the total amount of the Contract. The last day and time for submittal of written questions shall be no later than Friday, April 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Dorchester County is seeking bids from qualified and experienced Contractors to provide repairs to the stucco wall at the Courthouse. The project will consist of repairing the stucco wall surrounding secure areas at the Courthouse. Work shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services, incidental and implied, for the completion of work as described herein. All items not specifically mentioned in the specifications, but which obviously are required to make the job complete, shall be included in the bid. Quantities and conditions should be verified prior to bid during the mandatory pre-bid conference at the site. 1. Contractor to remove and discard stucco material with any cracks, holes crumbling or peeling areas found along with the metal flashing cap that was previously installed and seal holes. 2. Contractor to pressure wash, sandblast, or wire brush to remove any contaminants from block/concrete wall surface. 3. Contractor will repair any cracks, holes crumbling or peeling areas found in the block/concrete wall surface. 4. Contractor will seal top sandstone with clear sealer to be approved by county representative. 5. Contractor is responsible for daily cleanup and disposal of any materials. 6. Contractor to provide and maintain dumpster throughout the project 7. Contractor is responsible for material approval by county representative.
