The City of Delta is seeking bids from qualified contractors to install a filter system in the pumphouse located at Confluence Park. The project involves modifying the existing pump setup, including the removal and reinstallation of equipment, fabrication, and welding of new piping, and the installation of the new Amiad Filtomat M108LP 8 filter. The City will provide the materials. Roofing and Access to Pump Remove the existing roofing to create access to the 60hp pump located inside the pumphouse. Safely store and label all removed roofing materials for reinstallation after completion of the work. Removal of Motor and Pump Disconnect and remove the motor from the 60hp pump to allow access to the lift pump. Safely remove the pump and rotate it 90 degrees to facilitate the installation of the new filter system. Removal of Existing Discharge Piping Disconnect and remove the existing discharge piping leading to the manifold from the pump. Fabrication and Installation of New Piping Fabricate and weld new discharge piping from the pump head to the new Amiad Filtomat M108LP 8" filter. Fabricate and weld additional piping from the filter to the existing irrigation pipeline using a custom 6" x 6" tee fitting. All piping will be constructed using 6" Schedule 40 steel pipe, which will be powder-coated for corrosion resistance. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda may also be issued to modify the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by the City. All bid submissions for more than $50,000 shall include bid security in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Bid security shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, which shall also be enclosed within a sealed envelope, to be forfeited to the City if a bid is accepted and the bidder fails to sign a contract within fifteen (15) days of acceptance; provided, however, that this deadline may be extended by the Purchasing Agent in their discretion. All bids submitted without the necessary bid security will be rejected as nonresponsive. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds equal to the full amount of each bid or proposal. No bids may be withdrawn after the opening of bids without consent of the City of Delta for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening of bids.
