The South Tahoe Public Utility District (STPUD or District) invites sealed bids by electronic submission only for the construction of the Bijou 1 Waterline Replacement Project ("Project"). The work to be performed consists of the installation of approximately 6,500 linear feet of 8-inch water main, 130 water services, 20 fire hydrants, 7 water main tie-ins, and performance of traffic and erosion control, abandonment of existing water facilities, site restoration, and asphalt concrete paving. Work is anticipated to occur in 2025. The site of the work is located in two neighborhoods in the City of South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, California. The first is the residential neighborhood between Deer Park Ave and Cape Horn Road and the second is the mixed commercial and residential neighborhood between Treehaven Drive and Sandy Way. Bids shall be valid for 60 calendar days after the bid opening date, as required in the Bid Form. Questions submitted via telephone call, email or faxes will not be accepted. Hard copy original Bid Bond must be delivered to the District in advance of the bid deadline. After electronic bidding, each bidder shall submit their original Bid Forms to South Tahoe Public Utility District at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, California by 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 8th, 2025. In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code section 3300, the South Tahoe Public Utility District has determined that bidders shall possess a valid class A contractor license at the time of bid opening, the Contract is awarded and for the duration of the Contract. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to awarding the contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of award.
