Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Carlos, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; and municipal facility.

A Class C-39 Contractor's License is required for this work. Work will be done and payments will be made in accordance with provisions more particularly described in the plans and specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a Proposal guarantee amounting to ten (10%) percent of the bid as described in the specifications. Said guarantee shall be forfeited to the City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to the Contractor (1) enter into a contract with the City and (2) furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as described in the specifications. The City Council reserves the privilege of rejecting any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for opening of proposals. The scope of work generally includes removing the existing roofs and installing new roofs at the Library and two buildings at the Corporation Yard. Bids are required for the entire work described herein in accordance with the instructions to bidders. Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages: All work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before the expiration of Thirty (30) Working Days from the date of receipt of the "Notice to Proceed". If the Contractor fails to complete the work within the above specified time limit, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the City, computed at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) for each working day beyond the specified time limit until the project is completed.
