This project consists of the construction of the approximately 6,495 s.f. new Senior Center. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Rowan Fiscal Court, government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the bid shall be submitted with bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for the following: 1) 5% Bid Bond; and 2) A performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract price. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246 and Title VI and other requirements. Minority bidders are encouraged to bid. The Owner may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions of this advertisement and/or the specifications and may waive any informalities or reject any and all Bids. Any proposal received after the time and date specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the proposer. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Sealed bid should be labeled "Rowan Co. Senior Center Project". Federal Wage Rates apply to this project. No Bidder may withdraw the Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder.
