Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Deadwood, South Dakota. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The bid documents are to be mailed or delivered to the Lawrence County Auditor's Office, 90 Sherman Street, Deadwood, South Dakota 57732 and shall be sealed and endorsed, "PSSC Metal Maintenance Building" and shall contain the additional notation "Bid Enclosed". Bidders shall be aware of the limited site access prior to preparing a bid. Payments to the contractor shall be made in cash, based on the monthly estimates for work completed, subject to the retained percentages as specified in the Information for Bidders. All proposals shall be made on the forms furnished by Owner. Each bidder shall submit with his proposal a certified check or cashier's check, in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of bid including alternates, or Bid Bond in the amount often percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid including alternates, made payable to Lawrence County, South Dakota, as a guarantee of the Bidder entering into a contract for the work and furnishing of one hundred percent (100%) performance and one hundred percent (100%) payment bond. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Contract Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract to be held by the County until the project is accepted by the County and full payment has been made to the County. A completion date of November 1, 2025 shall be allowed for completion of the work items. Liquidated damages shall be assessed $100.00 per every calendar day beyond the scheduled completion date indicated on the contract. Lawrence County, South Dakota reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of thirty (30) days after the date fixed for the opening thereof to reject any and all bids and waive defects and to accept any bids should it be deemed for the public good and also reserves the right to reject the bid of any party who has been delinquent or unfaithful in the performance of any former contract with the Owner.
