Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Salt Lake City, Utah. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Description : Rehabilitation High Volume County: Salt Lake This Project Requires Using the Electronic Certified Payroll Program. See Attachment to Notice to Contractors. This is a P+t (Price + Time) Project. The Department Will Not Hold Retention on This Project. Per Utah State Code 13-8-5 (1) Prime Contractors Cannot Hold Retention. Refer to Utah Code 13-8-5 (1) for More Information. DBE Goal:5.00% Wage Rates: Apply Engineer's Estimate: Greater than $1.5M but less than or equal $3M (Qualified Health Insurance Required) Each Bidder Must Submit an Electronic Bid Bond From an Approved Surety Company Through the Appropriate Clearinghouse, as Defined in the Udot E-bidding Guide, Using Udots Bidding Business System or in Lieu Thereof, Cash, Certified Check, or Cashiers Check for Not Less Than 5% of the Total Amount of the Bid, Made Payable to the Utah Department of Transportation, Showing Evidence of Good Faith and a Guarantee That if Awarded the Contract, the Bidder Will Execute the Contract and Furnish the Contract Bonds as Required. SCOPE OF WORK Add the following to Article 1.6 Contract Intent: B. The project consists of the following work: 1. Rotomilling 5 inches of existing asphalt and replacing with 5 inches of Highly Modified Asphalt. 2. Repairing all soft spots within the project limits as determined by the Engineer. 3. Lowering/raising manholes for rotomilling operations 4. Reestablishing shouldering as necessary. 5. Reconstruct pedestrian ramps, remove and relocate existing crosswalk marks and pedestrian push buttons, and complete other intersection improvements as shown on the plans. 6. Reestablishing all pavement markings and pavement messages and replacing damaged signs within the project limits. 7. Removing and reconstructing guardrail and concrete barriers along various locations of the project. 8. Installing drainage structures and pipe, and reestablishing grading for surface ditch at location shown on drainage details 9. Installing Wrong Way signing/messaging on the I-80 off-ramp to Parley s Way. C. Document and furnish a copy of the size, location, and type of the following items in an acceptable format: 1. Pavement Markings 2. Pavement Messages 3. Manhole, cleanout box, and valve box 4. Concrete barrier, guardrail, and associated end sections/treatments. D. Do not proceed with work until the Engineer reviews and accepts the documentation. The Engineer will have two days to review the documentation. E. As required, a contractor's license must be obtained from the Utah Department of Commerce to work on UDOT projects as defined from the Division of Professional Licensing.
