The Project consists of clearing, grubbing, grading, drainage, erosion control, stream restoration and traffic control for the stormwater improvements. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the "CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING ACT OF 1976," and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in the Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors-Chapter 0680-1 Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in Tennessee in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price within thirty (30) calendar days of contract award notice. Bidder agrees to comply with the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Project Requirements & Guidelines. This project is being funded in whole or in part by federal award number 21.027 awarded to Knox County by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
