The proposed project involves redevelopment within the town of Klamath, California, situated within the boundaries of the Yurok Indian Reservation. Specifically, the project site is located within an established residential subdivision along Salmon Ave, commonly referred to as the "Klamath Townsite." The project will take place on thirteen lots within the subdivision, which include eleven currently occupied singlefamily residences with detached garages and two vacant lots. The redevelopment project aims to replace the existing structures with new single-family residences designed to meet current housing needs and standards. 1.1.1 Existing Conditions The project site is part of a residential subdivision served by existing infrastructure. Key features of the existing conditions include: Location: The site is situated along Salmon Road within the Klamath Townsite. Environmental Consequences The following sections analyze a no action alternative, reasonable alternative, and proposed action as it relates to the geologic setting, topography, soils, and mineral resources. Mitigation To address potential impacts on geologic, topographic, soil, and mineral resources associated with the Proposed Action, the following mitigation measures will be implemented to ensure environmental sustainability and long-term stability: Comprehensive Site Investigation: A thorough site investigation, including soil borings, test pits, and geotechnical testing, will be conducted to assess geologic, topographic, and soil conditions prior to construction.
