City of Bentonville, Arkansas, for the resurfacing and recoating of tennis courts at Memorial Park and Citizen's Park. The invitation outlines the project, including the locations of the courts to be worked on and the work that will be performed, which involves repairing and recoating courts 1-4 at Memorial Park and courts 5-6 at Citizen's Park. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% (five percent) of the Total Bid Price, payable without condition to the City of Bentonville, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds after the Notice of Award has been issued. Questions must be submitted via written communication only to purchasing@bentonvillear.com The deadline to submit questions related to this Invitation is April 04, 2025, at 4:30 PM CST, after this time the City will onl SCOPE OF WORK The awarded Bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, insurance, and all other necessary components indicative of the type of work or supply of item(s) or services specified herein and as required to perform the work to 100% completion and/or to deliver all item(s) and/or services to the City as specified. The work shall include all specifications listed below. The awarded contractor shall complete the work to 100% completion. The Project is located within Bentonville City limits. The contractor shall be responsible for securing the work site by setting up barriers to prevent any public access to the construction area. Proper signage must be placed to warn of the construction zone and ensure public safety throughout the project duration. The contractor shall thoroughly clean the court surfaces using high-pressure washing equipment to remove all dirt, debris, and loose material. The contractor shall conduct a comprehensive inspection of each court to identify cracks, low spots, or other surface defects. The contractor shall repair all cracks, depressions, and surface damage using court patch binder or other appropriate materials as approved by the City and ensure all repaired areas are level with the surrounding court surface and properly cured before proceeding with resurfacing. The contractor shall apply a minimum of one coat of Acrylic Resurfacer 4200 or an equal product acrylic resurface to the entire court surface, and a minimum of two coats of Plexi Pave Ultra Performance – Plexi Chrome, or an equal product acrylic resurface. The contractor shall follow manufacturer's recommendations for application and drying times. The contractor shall use Pacific Blue colored coating in the designated playing areas and Light Green in the designated out of bounds area on each of the tennis courts. The contractor shall ensure even application and color consistency across the entire court surface. The contractor shall then apply court lines using high-quality, durable white paint specifically designed for tennis court striping. The contractor shall apply court lines to the youth tennis court sections using high-quality, durable light blue pain specifically designed for tennis court striping. The contractor will need to ensure all lines are straight, of consistent width, and properly positioned according to official tennis court dimensions and use appropriate masking techniques to achieve crisp, clean lines. The contractor is responsible for cleaning up all materials, debris, and equipment at the end of each workday to ensure a safe, clean, and organized job site. The contractor is responsible for maintaining proper fencing around the work area and installing signage to restrict public access and ensure the safety of individuals. The contractor must ensure that the work area is secured at all times during the project. Once the resurfacing and restriping have been completed, the contractor will need to conduct a final inspection to ensure the product has been properly applied and provide any corrections as needed. The contractor shall provide documentation certifying that the coating meets the manufacturer’s requirements for durability, adhesion and performance. The contractor shall clean up the site upon completion with the removal of all debris and leftover material. The contractor shall provide a maintenance schedule and any recommended care instructions to ensure longevity of the new surface Bidders are responsible for visiting the site, becoming familiar with the work area(s) and field verifying measurements prior to submitting a Bid for the work. All work shall be performed and material supplied in accordance with this IFB. Increases or decreases to the work or materials specified shall be handled as Change Orders throughout the Project. No Change Order shall be considered approved unless approved in writing by the City and in accordance with all applicable procurement laws, rules and policies. Work included in the Change Order shall not be completed prior to the City’s written approval. The City is not responsible for work completed outside of an approved Change Order. The City reserves the right to reject requested Change Orders.
