The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the purchase and installation of playground equipment in Fox Trail Park, 7520 Council Street NE, Cedar Rapids, for the Parks & Recreation Department. Fox Trail Park is located on the Northeast side of Cedar Rapids. The park is located near the intersection of 74th Street NE and Council Street NE. The park is adjacent to a detention basin and currently has a sand volleyball court and a basketball court in addition to open space for football or soccer etc. The existing playground at the park is 25 years old and has reached the point where it needs to be replaced. The new playground equipment will include a 2-5 year old structure, a 5-12 year old structure, swings and additional stand-alone equipment more particularly described below. This project is to provide and install playground equipment in Fox Trail Park for the Parks and Recreation Department. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 4/2/2025 11:00:00 PM (CT) Early Start Date: April 23, 2025 Final Completion: August 30, 2025 A pre-bid conference has not been scheduled for this Project. Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of FIVE percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 45 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
