The work generally consists of HMA milling and overlay, pavement marking removals, and thermoplastic pavement markings at the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Notice-to-Proceed to be issued no earlier than following approval of properly executed contract documents, and the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission has established a contract performance time of: Early Start Date: Immediately following fully executed contract Late Start Date: June 9, 2025 Phase 1 - Completed within 2 working days Phase 2 - Completed within 13 working days All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed within the project manual. Bid security in the amount of Five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. Bid security and other bonds shall be provided on forms furnished by the Owner The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, with or without cause; to waive any informalities and technicalities; to enter such contracts as it deems in the best interest of the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission; and to re-advertise. The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for 30 calendar days after the bids are received and opened.
