Renovation of a transportation facility in Seatac, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
This project will provide replacement of 68 Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) throughout SeaTac Int'l Airport. The VFD sizes range from 5 hp to 300 hp. The locations and associated systems include Air Handlers in Concourse B & D Penthouses, Cooling Tower Pumps & Fans, Emergency Generator Radiators and Room Ventilation, Smoke Control Fans for Tunnel Ventilation, Pumps for Industrial Waste Water at the Fuel Farm, and other miscellaneous HVAC purposes. Seasonal restrictions exist for working on some of the HVAC systems, and specific work phasing requirements are detailed on drawings E003.01 and E003.02. The VFD's are connected to the Port ofSeattle's Building Automation System (BAS). In general, existing controls wiring will be repurposed for controls connection to each VFD. The functional-ity of all VFD' shall remain the same as existing. The WMBE utilization goal is 8% for this contract. Time limit for substantial completion of the work is 490 calendar days The Engineer's estimate range for this project is $3M - $6M *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
