This project shall be a design/build proposal in which a qualified contractor designs, furnishes all materials, installs, programs, commissions, and warrants (for 1 year) a completely automated dust control sprinkler system for the MSU William Cherry Expo Center. The intent is for the system to be an irrigation system in which watering times and durations can be programmed for adding moisture to the dirt floors thereby reducing dust. It is envisioned that the arena will be sprinklered in seven (7) subzones and the staging area alley sprinklered with one (1) zone. It is the contractor's responsibility to understand the intent and design/build a complete operable system. Upon award of a proposal, the contractor is responsible for all subsequent design and approvals. The contractor will need to demonstrate a design for MSUs approval before ordering of materials or construction may begin. The contractor shall be knowledgeable in irrigation systems and be qualified in the application of an irrigation system for the purposes of an arena dust control sprinkler system. The contractor must have acceptable references and experience installing such systems. An alternate proposal will be received by MSU for the addition of two (2) zones for the south and north stock areas.
