This project is for Central Plant #2 Chiller Replacement. Project consists of the complete renovation and upgrade of the boiler burner assemblies serving Boiler #1 and Boiler #2 respectively, consistent in form and function to the current installation. In addition, the intent is to suitable re-install and integrate the existing boiler monitoring and feedwater systems with the new boiler burner assemblies to successfully monitor and control the entire boiler system. Substantial completion is September 15, 2025. Final Completion is October 15, 2025. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders and/or General Conditions. The overarching goal of the project is to effect the complete renovation and upgrade of the boiler burner assemblies serving Boiler #1 and Boiler #2 respectively, consistent in form and function to the current installation Demolition Scope of Work 1. Demolish and legally dispose of / salvage all existing boiler burner assemblies and all associated appurtenances. All existing boiler monitoring and feedwater systems and associated specialties will be retained for reuse. 2. De-energize, demolish and legally dispose of all services / infrastructure rendered obsolete as a function of the project and / or as required by Authorities Having Jurisdiction back to the point of origination. This would include, but not be limited to electrical and special systems conductors and raceways. 3. All existing combustion and flue gas assemblies and associated appurtenances shall be retained for reuse to the extent practical. Installation Scope of Work 1. Contractor shall provide all necessary protection to mitigate damage to existing infrastructure and finishes and shall be responsible for suitably repairing any damage to the same which occurs as a result of the Contractor's Work. 2. Furnish and install two (2) nominal 300 HP boiler burner assemblies (Limpsfield LCNP36 or approved equal) with options and accessories: a. Burner front and rear section finished in gloss powder coat b. Sympathetic designed transitional duct to bring air from forced draft fan to burner inlet c. Removable aluminum burner rear back ring/sight glass d. Autoflame gas and air servo motors and spillback control valves e. Air pressure switch f. Single outlet ignition transformer g. Ignition electrode h. Gas pilot injector assembly i. Autoflame end view UV scanner (self-check) j. Stainless Steel diffuser k. Stainless Steel blast tube end cone l. Fully wired burner control panel mounted directly to burner complete with Autoflame Mk 8 Touch screen with the following features: i. Micro Modulation-Fuel/Air Ratio Control ii. UV Flame Safeguard iii. Precise Target Setpoint Control iv. Lead Lag Control for both Steam and Hot Water v. MK8 touch screen with 7 channels m. Forced draft fan variable frequency drive
