Liquidated Damages of $250 per day will be assessed for each day past this date that the project is not substantially complete. Project construction involves rooftop air handling unit replacement, water softener and domestic water heater system replacement. General construction will involve remodeling the current domestic hot water mechanical room into a storage room including replacement of stairs, new doors and general construction related to modifying an existing basement mechanical room. Major project components include: Sheetmetal, plumbing piping, gas piping, electrical, HVAC, cast in place concrete, carpentry and single ply roofing cut and patch. Project construction may start immediately if approved by the Spearfish School Board at their meeting on Monday, April 14, 2025. Substantial completion date will be August 15, 2025. Bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid or a certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. Successful bidder shall furnish an approved Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract. All bids shall be held firm for thirty days after the bid opening. The Project consists of the alteration of the existing lower level mechanical room and associated main level storage room. In involves water softener and domestic water heater system replacement. Spearfish School District 40-2 reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any or all irregularities and informalities in the bids received and to accept any responsible bid which may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Spearfish School District 40-2.
