The Nantucket Public Schools, through its School Committee, is seeking the services of a qualified "Owner's Project Manager" to provide Project Management Services for the design, construction, addition to and/or renovation of the New Modular Administrative Office Building in Nantucket, Massachusetts. Pre-bid Meeting: None. Unexpected closures. If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, 10 Surfside Road public school building is closed due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, wind or building evacuation, the bid opening will be postponed. the next normal business day. RFQ's will be accepted until that date and time. INQUIRIES/QUESTION DEADLINE Monday May 09 2025 11:00 AM - Questions concerning this RFQ must be submitted in writing to: Chip Clunie, Director of Facilities and Grounds, Nantucket Public Schools, Nantucket MA 02554. Questions may be delivered, mailed, emailed, (cluniec@npsk.org) or faxed. Written responses will be mailed or faxed to all bidders on record as requested by RFQ. The non-price proposal envelope must be sealed and clearly marked: Non-Price Proposal - New Modular Administrative Office Building OPM Services. Award date. Award will be made within forty-five (45) days after the due date unless otherwise stated in the specifications or the time for award is extended by mutual consent of all parties. All RFQ's submitted shall be valid for a minimum period of forty-five (45) calendar days following the date established for acceptance. RFQ's may be modified, corrected or withdrawn only by written correspondence received by the Nantucket Public Schools prior to the time and date set for the bid opening. Bid modifications must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labelled "Modification No. and must reference the original RFQ. After the bid opening, a bidder may not change any provision of the bid in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the Nantucket Public Schools or fair competition. Minor informalities will be waived, or the bidder will be allowed to correct them. If a mistake and the intended bid are clear on the face of the bid document, the mistake will be corrected to reflect the intended bid, and the bidder will be notified in writing; the bidder may not withdraw the bid. A bidder may withdraw a bid if a mistake is clear on the face of the bid, but the intended correct bid is not similarly evident. The Nantucket Public Schools will not be responsible for any expenses incurred in preparing and submitting RFQ's. All RFQ's shall become the property of the Nantucket Public Schools. Responders must be willing to enter into the Nantucket Public Schools standard form of contract that will include the scope of services description of this RFQ. Purchases by the Nantucket Public Schools are exempt from federal, state and municipal sales and/or excise taxes. Overview - The Nantucket Public Schools is proposing to construct a new modular two-story (basement and main floor) office building at 24 Surfside Road to provide much needed space for administration staff and personnel. Site - The new building is proposed to be constructed in the southeast corner of the property (close to where the existing garage is located). In addition to the new building, the project proposes installing a new gravel parking aa, walkways, and a small patio space. Building - The overall square footage of level 1, that serves as the main office area, is 3,620 sf. An entrance porch leads to a vestibule and waiting area. The building is laid out with 8 perimeter offices, a conference room, wellness room and a break room, along with an administrative area. The central core consists of an elevator, toilets, janitor's room and coat closet. The lower level (full basement - 3,620 sf) is storage, The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time The Nantucket Public Schools reserves the right to reject all RFQ's and to waive any informality in RFQ's received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest.
