As of April 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 17, 2025. Description of Work: The project will consist of various tasks, including tree or vegetation removal, general removals, excavation, full-depth aggregate gravel base, HMA pavement, paint marking or striping, landscape restoration, and any related site work or general conditions in accordance with the construction plans at River Heights GC and Buena Vista GC or any other related work within the DeKalb Park District, Other Bidding Information: a.) Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court upon review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract (820 ILCS 130/0.01). b.) The DeKalb Park District is exempt from Illinois state, municipal, or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. c.) All bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or bank draft payable to the DeKalb Park District for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder instructions. 5. Rejection of Bids: The DeKalb Park District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities as deemed necessary. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, the award of the contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder after the final bid review and approval of the Park District staff and Board at the regularly scheduled meeting on April 17, 2025.
